It’s August and I’m wrapped up in blankets!!!!!

Sometimes even good excuses or good reasons don’t seem enough. Sometimes you’re just lost for words and all that is left is apologise in the name of someone else.

Not true. I got a fantastic husband and a wonderful daughter. That is what I must keep in mind so I don’t break someone’s nose.

I was going to talk about my recent holidays in Portugal, but now I don’t feel like it.

I should just mention that Kaia was absolutely fantastic considering what she went through. I am so proud of you my baby

Just a quick note to say that after becoming a mother, it’s impossible to enter a shop and not come back with bags full of cute little baby girl clothes.

She has more clothes than Russ and I put together!

Kaia is at the nursery this afternoon but half of it is already gone and I still have lots to do!

After a couple of very difficult weeks I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

Kaia has been quite temperamental. I think it’s all part of the teething process but she’s been waking up at night, grumpy during the day, refusing to eat and being a handful in general.

Adding to this Russ has been working even later and even though I see some friends during the day a feeling of loneliness started kicking in.

On top of this I had LOADS to do! Business matters, batch cooking for Kaia, general house keeping and a very frustrating job application phase.

But the good news are in. Russ will be finishing his contract earlier and by Wednesday he should be at home with us. Yay!

Then a hen weekend in Edinburgh with lots of fun stuff and Monday a plane to Portugal! Woohooo!

How sad is it that organising the kitchen cupboards makes my week? And for a break during the day I go tidy up Kaia’s room and her clothes?

Truth be told, for the last one, the option was book keeping for the company…
