Here we go!
Right! I spent the last two days messing around and learning how to use this. It’s all very exciting ![]()
I’ve added a page with images and uploaded some. More is still to come as I don’t have them all on my laptop.
There is a new category (The English people and I). This was the original idea behind the creation of a weblog. Some months ago, I started writing about my experiences in England; the main differences in culture, the things that were harder to get used to, the things that are worse, better, or just different. Unlike the general posts, it won’t be in chronological order. I will write things as they come to mind with no particular events associated. To be honest, I started writing it but I didn’t get very far. But I will try my best to update it frequently ![]()
There are also some new links: PSSRI is the department where I am working as a PhD student, Jeronimo is my lovely boyfriend (still need him to teach me some stuff
) and the others are friends and colleagues about whom I will most certainly talk about in future posts. Feel free to browse their websites. They have more pictures and the descriptions of some events that occurred recently but before I had this page.
I have changed the ‘about’ page, although I doubt I will change it anytime soon.
Hopefully you will read my posts and comment on them. Comments! Comments! Comments! Even if they are just to correct my spelling ![]()
To my Portuguese friends, feel free to write in Portuguese. If I have the time I will translate it ![]()
OK. That is all for now. I will now play a bit more with the page and upload the first post on the new category. It will be the introduction to ‘The English people and I’.
Have fun!!
Yupiii!!! Fui a prmeira a deixar um comentário naquela categoria!! Boa!! Ah, já agora, este comentário é só para, se traduzires o outro, cuidado com o pipi, ahahahahahahahahahahahah (ROTFL)
Just a brief translation: Vanda (a great friend of mine) is congratulationg me for the weblog and saying that I may become a writer if the PhD doesn’t work. She also says that this weblog may become more famous than one called ‘O meu pipi’ which even became a book (It was one of the first portuguese blogs and was one of the most successful ever). I will not translate the name
I’ll leave it to you to find out what it means. But I’m sure this won’t be that famous as the content is very different
About becoming a writer, if that is the only option besides the PhD., I’m counting on all of you to not let me starve
