Russ and I saw a few films before we went on holiday. At the time there was no time to write about it and now there is no patience for long texts (hence me not posting about Christmas and New Year).

Beowulf was horrible! I hated the film. It seems like the character has memory problems and keeps saying his name so that he doesn’t forget. He might think the rest of them have the same memory problems as he shouts it for everyone to hear. Yes the image is cool, the way they did it, the effects that are possible with it, but the story… Oh dear… Annoying to say the least. Very disappointing!

The Golden Compass Was not bad. I like this kind of film. It seemed to long especially considering that others will follow. It’s entertaining but not terribly exciting. I preferred Stardust

I am legend It’s a nice film. The old story of viruses killing everybody. But with a different view to it. Unfortunately I was expecting it to be a bit scary so I was always expecting something that would make me jump and I ended up not getting into it. In the end it wasn’t scary and I immediately wanted to see it again so I could enjoy it better.

Let’s face it, after Ratatouille the standard is very high
