I went to the OU to print some draft of my incomplete thesis today. I saw a couple of colleagues that started in the same year as me. We had a good chat and came to the conclusion that the end of an era is approaching. Even if some of us don’t finish on time after October that is it! We are all going our own ways. We agreed that we were a fantastic year. There were quite a few of us and all fantastic people. We should get together to celebrate!

But that is how some things turn out to be. And I’m not looking back. I am at ease with my decisions.

A few weeks ago we went on holiday with Russ’s parents and his sister to Wales. We stayed in a lovely farm with sheep and a horse. It was excellent! We visited lots of fantastic places, wonderful views and had a great time. Here are some pictures that I took on my phone. Russ took lots more with his fancy camera but I’m yet to get my hands on them

As my stepmum once said: ‘Some people are perfect together. That way you only ruin one home.’

Is a very sad thing. And it prevents people from being happy.

The biggest illusion of them all is what some people think about themselves.

I can’t help but smile inside when someone who is quick to criticize, and lives a life full of rules of what is right or wrong (or so they think) end up doing exactly what they criticized some time later.

And when confronted with that the answer is always: ‘my situation is completely different’ or ‘I never criticize anyone!’

Today was my last day of work. My colleagues decided to surprise me with a farewell present and a card. It was really nice and although I only worked there for 5 months I really enjoyed it

It almost made me cry… (maybe I did, a bit )

And now…Now I am officially unemployed! Again!…
